The bathroom is one of the hardest-working rooms in the house, and one of the first things buyers judge. If yours has a cracked basin, a shower that dribbles and grout that's seen better days, a new one makes a bigger difference to daily life than almost anything else you could spend the money on.
Why it's worth doing
- It's more efficient. Modern taps, showers and dual-flush toilets use far less water, and a well-insulated room with a proper extractor fan holds its heat and keeps mould away.
- It suits how you live now. A walk-in shower instead of a bath you never use, more storage, better lighting, or fittings that suit an older or less mobile family member.
- It helps when you sell. A tired bathroom puts buyers off. A fresh, well-built one is a selling point.
- Peace of mind. Old bathrooms leak in places you can't see. A new one, done properly, removes that worry.
What makes a bathroom last
The finish you see is only part of it. What matters is underneath: tanking the shower area before it's tiled, a solid, level floor, correct falls on the waste pipes, and an extractor fan that's actually up to the job. Get those right and the bathroom will still look good in fifteen years.
We fit bathrooms, en-suites and wet rooms across Croydon and Bromley with our own team doing the plumbing, tiling, electrics and plastering. See our kitchens and bathrooms page for some of our work.
