Most of the Bromley refurbishments we get asked about start the same way. Someone's bought a house that's structurally sound but stuck in about 1985, and they want it brought up to date before they move in, or soon after. The question is usually less "can you do it?" and more "how do we do it without it taking over our lives?"
One team, one point of contact
A full refurbishment can involve a dozen trades: strip-out, structural work, electrics, plumbing, heating, plastering, joinery, kitchen and bathroom fitting, flooring and decorating. If you're coordinating all of those yourself, you become the project manager whether you like it or not. We run the whole thing, so you have one person to call and one fixed price that covers the lot.
The order matters
We work from the structure outwards. Any walls coming out come out first, with steel in to the engineer's design. Then the first fix: new cables, pipes and heating runs while the walls and floors are open. Then plastering, then the second fix, kitchen and bathroom, flooring and decorating. Doing it in that order means nothing gets chased out of fresh plaster later.
What our Bromley customers tend to ask for
- Knocking the kitchen and dining room into one open-plan space
- Rewiring and a new heating system, often with underfloor heating downstairs
- New kitchen and family bathroom
- New internal doors, skirting and architrave throughout
- Engineered oak or good quality laminate flooring
We've refurbished houses across Bromley, Orpington, Chislehurst and West Wickham, from eight-week jobs like Sandy Bury in Orpington to bigger remodels. Have a look at our refurbishment page, or ring Baz on 07786 254637 for a free survey.
